A Romantic Royal Wedding.

What a fabulous day when Great Britain does what it does best, pomp, pagentry and splendour. The whole country ground to a halt this morning and watched the spectical and they weren't disappointed.

A stunning bride marries a handsome Prince, the stuff of fairytales right in our own capital city and joined by millions across the world.

The whole event went without a hitch and even the sun came out. I feel really proud to be part of this amazing country.

The bride looked so regal and composed and has to be an very special young lady to take on such a role.

I loved her dress and the beautiful simple bouquet of Lily of the Valley and Myrtle. The Myrtle comes from a cutting taken and grown from Queen Victorias wedding bouquet and I believe the Lily of the Valley  was grown in Cornwall.
After a quiet morning now the party has started in parks and gardens and in the streets.
                                                       Lots of fun stalls.

                                                 Picnics in the park.

                                                      Cup cake heaven.
It's been a great day when we all forgot our troubles and had a great time.
I'm sure you will join me and wish them a long and happy marriage.

It was so beautiful, Kate's dress, the ceremony, all of it. Prince William will always have a place in my heart, right next to his mother!

I know she is smiling in heaven this blessed day.

Thanks for the beautiful photos, Angela! It was SO lovely to watch it (VERY early this morning, for us!) Enjoyed hearing that the myrtle comes from Queen Victoria's bouquet--love learning things like that!

Hope you're having a beautiful day...

What a lovely touch with Kate's bouquet. Yes such splendour - the whole event! I am so impressed that the now new Duke appears to have the same touch as his sweet mother in connecting to the common people!

Yes nobody does Pomp and Pageantry like the Brits *winks*... my Mom is Welsh and she was glued to the set that Morning! *LOL*

Thanks for stopping by my Blog and so that now I can discover your beautiful Blog! Loved seeing the Moors... the last time we were in Gt. Britain was the 1970's when my Dad was stationed there for the last time before retiring from the Military... that's how he met Mom, when they had American Bases in North Wales. Nice to see my Nanna, Gran-Gran and Welsh Relatives... though Nanna and an Uncle have been to America on Holiday to visit us. Now everyone has passed or is too old to travel and I miss seeing my Uncle each year. My Uncle LOVED Las Vegas! *smiles* He has a typical lovely Welsh singing voice and when we were at the Venetian he stood by one of the Gondolas and sang, they thought he was part of the act! *LOL* Quite a character my Uncle, he was in the Welsh Guards as a young man... the first one in the Queens Coronation actually. *My Bragging rights, smiles*

Blessings from the Arizona Desert... Dawn... The Bohemian
