My day off.

Today the sun has been shining and we can see some blue sky which is so nice after weeks and weeks of rain.
Just right for a day at the beach and a little shopping.
This is the beach at Budleigh Salterton in East Devon it is about a 40 minute drive from my home. I love the red cliffs.

Here's the other end of the beach and the coastal path to Ladram Bay.
The South West coast path is 600 miles long and goes all the way around the SW coast. I've walked lots of bits of it, some is easy and some extremely hard.

The beach here is made up of large pebbles.
All different shades from black to grey to palest pink and even some white. They are all rolled to perfect smoothness by the sea.
An English seaside always has beach huts. I love these in sugared almond shades, they look great with the pebbles.

On my way back to the car I did a little shopping.
This pretty little vase was only £1. It's hand made and also hand painted, I love it.

Then onto a rummage sale where I found this blue pressed glass cake stand, it has a small crack but for 50p who could say no!!

Then this lovely tray,
it's been silver plated and has seen better days,  the silver is almost all worn away to the copper base, but such a pretty shape.

I'm home for a quiet evening, the sun is set to last at least for a few days and it's only six days to the Olympics opening ceremony, can't wait to see it.

Have a great weekend.
xox Angela.

Love the colors of the beach huts. We don't have beach huts--what are they?

Angela, that beach filed with pebbles is looking so beautiful, my beach is filled with big cliff pieces, and very little rounded stones.....
and the hutses looks great.
The blue cale stand is my favorite, such wonderful colour, dear.

Angela I love that silver plated tray I too found one last week but they wanted a fortune for it in a local charity shop. Give it a good clean with toothpaste it will come up beautiful. Those beach huts are just pretty I agree the colours are perfect. Tracy x
Such a lovely area. Gosh, all those smooth stones. I could just take a basket of yarn, plop myself down, grab a stone and get to crocheting. What fun that would be. There's a blog called thecuriouspebbleproject in California where a lady crochets stones and then leaves them with a note for people to find. Pretty cool! I think if I did that here, people would think I was crazy. Hope you had a great weekend. Have a lovely week. Tammy
PS You found some great goodies. I would definitely have snapped up that cake stand. :) I have a thing for blue.
OOo I love Devon have family there, well found goodies :0)
