And so to Quilt, a journal.

You know how it is, you're off to a workshop, you need to have a notebook, your pins and needles, maybe a bit of lace or ribbon and some inspirational thoughts.

I design my Quilters books for all those things.

I used fabrics left over from Ediths quilt, the colours are so nice I didn't want to waste a scrap....

The hexagons were hand stitched while I was in London house and cat sitting...

I've used lots of lace and a crepe fabric tie...

I like to have lots of pockets to hold precious things and little sayings that I love......

a special pocket for quilt labels.....

pages to fill....

more sayings....

plenty of room for notes and inspiration.....

a place to keep needles and pins.......

it's a great feeling when a quilt from your own imagination is completed...

These books are to treasure, I always hope that the owner will continue to add her own bits and pieces so it will grow into a real heirloom!!!

I'll be taking this book to show my students and friends at Festival of Quilts. If you'll be there let me know and we can enjoy a cup of tea.

My next book is waiting, a different theme this time. I'll show you soon.

xox Angela.

Your journal turned out fabulous, dear Angela! This is such a lovely shade of light blue and it goes so very well with creams, beiges and browns. I love your embellishments and the phrases you've added. Very beautiful!
Have a great weekend :-)!

As always your skills are out of this world! It is truly beautiful, I would love one day to have one of these, as I am sure most of my fellow bloggers feel the same...The use of the colours, lace, handmade paper etc looks exquisite, and all matches perfectly.
Take care of yourself xxxxxx
I love journals and yours is a beauty. I especially like that you made a place to keep pins and needles. The colors are so pretty. My sister made me a wonderful journal and I have added so many comments and things to it. Can't wait to see your next book
Hugs Jackie

Angela, your quilt journal is so creative, beautiful, beautiful. I love the combination of a journal with room for pins and needles.
Angela this is pure delight as far as handmade books go. The colours, the words, fabrics and laces - everything blends so beautifully in blues, beiges, browns and whites.
I love it!
x Suzy
